VNIIFTRI introduces a new line of oscilloscopes to the Russian market

Moscow Region, March 16, 2026 — Specialists of FSUE “VNIIFTRI”, as part of the state import substitution program, have completed the development and launched mass production of a new generation of universal digital oscilloscopes of the C8-3000 series, which are in demand in the Russian market of measuring instruments. Advanced engineering solutions and a wide range of functionalities allow the new equipment to be a worthy replacement for both outdated domestic devices currently in use and imported analogues.

"The new oscilloscopes are fully developed at VNIIFTRI. These devices are designed for monitoring, studying and measuring the parameters of electrical signals and are included in the State Register of Measuring Instruments. The high-tech software in the oscilloscopes has certificates of state registration," said the Head of the Center for the development and implementation of advanced technologies of FSUE "VNIIFTRI" Stanislav Gusev.

The series includes the unified digital oscilloscopes of the C8-3050 series with a bandwidth of 500 MHz and C8-3100 with a bandwidth of 1 GHz. Domestic devices are equipped with displays of larger size compared to their foreign counterparts with similar technical characteristics. This provides improved readability of information and increases the ergonomics of use. Oscilloscopes are used as universal portable instruments for measuring and studying signals in the laboratory during the development, production and testing of modern high-tech radio electronic devices and electronic component base. This type of device is widely used in various fields of activity, from scientific research laboratories to automotive industry and aerospace industry.

Modular oscilloscopes of the C8-3000M series have also been developed and prepared for mass production, which can be easily integrated and used as part of measuring and production complexes with the output of measurement results to any external computer, including remotely.

The software for oscilloscopes can be modified by VNIIFTRI developers at the customer's request to include these devices in a specific measuring complex of laboratory or production equipment.

A differential active probe PDA-1000 with a bandwidth of 1 GHz has been developed for joint use with all models of oscilloscopes. This device is designed to transmit electrical signals to the input of measuring instruments with minimal distortion. Unlike foreign analogues designed for use with a specific series of devices from a specific manufacturer, the PDA-1000 probe has a universal application and can be operated in conjunction with measuring instruments of various types (oscilloscopes, spectroanalyzers, multimeters, and many others) and manufacturers.

"Currently, VNIIFTRI has also developed and mastered the C8-3010P digital storage oscilloscope with a bandwidth of 100 MHz in production. The device is designed to operate in the temperature range from -50°C to +50°C. By the end of this year, it is planned to launch serial production of the C8-3010P. Thus, VNIIFTRI meets the needs of the domestic market with all types of oscilloscopes with improved characteristics," emphasized Alexey Osipov, a leading specialist in the technical support group of FSUE “VNIIFTRI”.
